The Pharaohs Golden Parade

April 3, 2021

WOW! What an amazing, stunning & regal display of honour. Only such a procession could be fitting for the twenty-two Pharaohs and Queens of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt as they were transported from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat.
Egyptian pride held the world in suspense, and awe as millions watched across the globe, a showcase of not only ancient treasures, but the creations, performances, and deliverance of an outstanding production by Egyptians.

With great media interest, brought news of the introduction of Egyptology as a permanent place in mainstream education, however, at MIS this is far from a ‘new’ concept, as for over two years we have proudly provided a dedicated syllabus on Egyptology for all students from Years 1 to 3.
We believe we are the first and only school in Egypt to place this important subject as a permanent fixture within the academic schedule, beyond the standard unit provided in the British Curriculum under the umbrella of ancient civilizations.

We nurture a natural fascination, understanding and pride in one of the greatest periods of world history within our students who acquire chronological knowledge and understanding of events, people and ways of living whilst exploring mythology, Pharaohs & rulers, monuments, temples & discoveries, mummification, the life cycle of the Nile, hieroglyphs and much more.
